Eliminate the weak

In a section in The Republic by Plato, disposal of unhealthy babies is suggested. It is said so to eliminate the weak offsprings that are to represent the city-state. As a whole this may seem very controversial, probably my ethics lecturer might just pass out discussing this because it's a sensitive issue but the repercussions of it exceed the moral dilemma in worth.

Suppose you end up raising the child and surpassing the teething troubles the child comes across as a hail and hearty individual, wouldn't the child feel bad if there are things other kids his age are eligible to do or may do and the child can't 'cause he has some godforsaken issue.

I completely agree with Plato. These kids should be disposed off at birth. Saves time, energy and resources. Conceive another.
